New Horizons is a monthly or bi-monthly programme of talks exploring ideas and challenges that may shape our future. on a wide variety of subjects, offering all members the opportunity to explore some of the key challenges that may shape our future.
Topics include health, environmental issues, science, technology and political or social issues that affect us all.
This is not an interest group but operates like our regular Speaker Meetings. All members are very welcome to attend, especially if you enjoy exploring new ideas and stimulating discussion.
The talks are delivered by speakers with experience and expertise in their respective fields and take place in the Marford Memorial Hall in the late morning on the third Thursday of each month. Each session lasts around an hour.
Refreshments. Please note that refreshments are not provided, although there is an opportunity after the talks to continue the discussion informally in The Swan or elsewhere.
Check in the u3a newsletter or u3a emails to see when the next New Horizons takes place.
