What is the u3a?

The u3a is a non-religious and non-political self-help organisation providing educational, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment for people no longer in full time employment. Learning is for its own sake, with enjoyment being the prime motive. There are over 1000 u3as across the UK, all overseen by the charity u3a UK (the Third Age Trust).
